iPEC’s Coach Training for Educational Leaders will teach educators self-leadership, shared leadership, and self-efficacy while creating a sustainable culture that remains long after those in charge have moved on. Created in partnership with Educational Service Center, Region 20 (San Antonio, TX) (www.esc20.net/coaching), the program combines innovative content with best practices and leadership frameworks, tools, and techniques from the private and public sectors. iPEC and ESC Region 20 have tailored the program so that it has practical applications and can be easily implemented in day-to-day operations for all educators – from superintendents to principals to teachers. The program complies with the standards established by national professional development organizations.

The Coach Training for Educational Leaders program includes more than 100 hours of training, including 66 hours of in-class modules and 24 hours of live coaching/client practice hours, supplemented by group webinars and audio library webinars, and mentoring by a professionally certified coach.
The training utilizes leadership, business and management theories, and best practices that reinforce the link between the individual efforts of school leaders and the impact of their influence on their organizations. The curriculum includes transformational leadership, systems management, relational leadership, organizational behavior, emotional intelligence, change continuum, and leadership as well as the correlates of effective schools, including clear and focused mission, professional learning community and monitoring of student progress.
The Coach Training for Educational Leaders program focuses on the needs of professional educators from a practical perspective and focuses on areas that have the most impact on increasing performance. There are many research studies that show the positive impact of instructional coaching. There are also many school effectiveness studies that show coaching to have a direct correlation with improvement in understanding concepts, skill attainment, and application of new learning, with improvement rates for communications, action planning, and goal achievement often as high as 95%.
