The 5 Signs of Change You’re Probably Ignoring

We live in a world of change. We’re always transitioning. We’re always transforming.

Hopefully, we’re doing it consciously by having a system that helps us when the old, undesirable patterns come back or we start to backslide or go in a direction that is not where we want to be. That sustainable performance system is something that’s going to help us understand how to view the setbacks that will occur.

It helps us sort through the static and reminds us that a setback is nothing more than information. It doesn’t mean “I’m less of a person” or “I’m not adequate” or anything like that. It’s just information about whatever it was that I tried. It wasn’t the best way to do this. So, what am I going to change?

That’s part of the system. It’s not just how we view some of those setbacks, but it’s seeing things as that great sign of something we need to pay attention to. It’s having a way to sort through that information which will indicate, “Hey, this isn’t quite working the way that I want it to.”

Energy influencers have an incredible impact on performing to our potential.

Mental, emotional, physical, social, and environmental energy all have an incredible impact that either enhances or detracts from diving in and performing to our potential. We can arrange all of those types of influencers in any number of ways, but mainly need to direct them in a powerful manner to fuel our performance, our happiness, our transition, and our fulfillment to help us sort through the information we’re receiving.

“Why is it that I’m not getting the results that I want to get?”

We need to go through this list of influencers. It helps us filter the information that we’re getting to say, “Oh, wait a minute. This feels like it’s out of alignment.”

Creating and having a sustainable performance system is critical.

For example, let’s take the social influencers into consideration. It’s sharing what we’re doing and going through with our spouses, friends, family – our social network. It fosters an environment of support. Say we’re looking to eat healthier. By sharing this with our social group, it not only helps them understand our objectives, but also provides us with support in reaching our goal.

We’re not only holding ourselves accountable, we’re empowering others to assist us – in this case, maybe by knocking that Big Mac out of our hands!

How do you arrange the various influencers in your life to drive you to your goals?
